About This Section

This section of Back Porch Seam Notes deals with kitchen countertop installation in Riverside, CA and nothing else, which is what allows it to get specific.

Scope

This section does one trade in one market, and leaves the rest alone. Narrowing the subject is the only way the detail stays accurate long enough to be useful.

Independence

Nothing here is a sales page. No contractor pays for placement, for a ranking, or for a particular opinion.

Limits

Written guidance necessarily generalizes. Any specific property can present conditions that change the answer, which is why an on-site assessment by somebody qualified always outranks anything written beforehand.

How the Guides Are Written

Guides concentrate on judgement calls rather than procedure. Preparation, specification, and the details that are expensive to correct afterward get the space; the rest is left out.
